This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to purchases made from Dane Shue Art LLC, an artist business based in Dallas, Texas, United States. It explains when returns, refunds, or replacements may be accepted for original artwork, prints, and other products.

1. General Policy Overview
Due to the nature of fine art and limited production items, sales are handled differently depending on the type of product purchased.
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights under applicable local, national, or international law.
2. Product Categories Covered by This Policy
For clarity, products are categorized as follows:
Original Artwork – One-of-a-kind, hand-created works
Prints – Open or limited-edition reproductions (paper, canvas, etc.)
Custom or Commissioned Works – Artwork created specifically for an individual buyer
Digital Products – Digital downloads or files
Each category has different return eligibility rules outlined below.
3. Original Artwork (One-of-a-Kind Pieces)
Returns
All sales of original artwork are final, except where required by law.
Original artworks are not eligible for return due to:
Change of mind
Preference or taste
Size, color, or style expectations
Exceptions
Original artwork may be eligible for a replacement or refund only if:
The artwork arrives damaged, or
The artwork is materially defective or not as described
Damage or defect claims must comply with Section 7 of this policy.
4. Prints (Limited & Open Edition)
Returns (Non-Defective Prints)
Prints may be eligible for return within 14 days of delivery, only if:
The print is unused and unframed
It is returned in original condition and packaging
Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise required by law.
Refunds
Approved refunds for prints exclude original shipping fees and customs charges, unless required by law.
Limited-edition prints may be subject to stricter return conditions, which will be disclosed at the time of purchase.
5. Custom or Commissioned Artwork
All custom or commissioned artwork sales are final.
Orders cannot be canceled once work has begun.
These items are not eligible for return or refund, except where required by applicable law or if the item arrives damaged.
6. Digital Products
All digital sales are final.
Digital products are not eligible for return or refund once delivery has begun, except where required by law.
For EU/UK customers, purchasing digital content and agreeing to immediate delivery may waive the 14-day right of withdrawal.
7. Damaged or Defective Items (All Physical Products)
If any physical item arrives damaged or defective:
Requirements
Contact us within 1 day of delivery
Provide clear photos of:
The damaged item
The original packaging
The shipping label
Do not discard packaging until your claim is resolved.
Resolution
Depending on availability and circumstances, we may offer:
A replacement
A repair
A partial or full refund
8. Incorrect or Missing Items
If you receive the wrong item or part of your order is missing:
Notify us within 1 day of delivery
We will correct the issue at no additional cost
9. Lost Packages
If a shipment is confirmed lost by the carrier:
We will work with the carrier to investigate
A replacement or refund may be offered depending on availability
Packages marked “delivered” but not received may require additional verification.
10. EU & UK Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you generally have the right to withdraw from the purchase of non-custom physical goods within 14 days of delivery, without giving a reason.

11. Return Shipping Costs
Unless otherwise required by law:
Customers are responsible for return shipping on non-defective print returns
Original shipping charges are non-refundable
Customs duties, VAT, and import taxes are non-refundable
For approved defective, damaged, or incorrect items, reasonable return shipping costs will be covered by Dane Shue Art or an alternative resolution will be provided.
12. Refund Processing
Refunds are issued to the original payment method
Processing times depend on your payment provider
Refunds exclude shipping and customs fees unless required by law
13. Cancellations
Orders may only be canceled before shipment and before production begins
Custom, commissioned, and made-to-order artwork cannot be canceled once work has started
14. Abuse & Fraud Prevention
We reserve the right to refuse returns or refunds if:
The policy is being abused
Claims are fraudulent
Items are returned used, altered, or damaged after delivery
This does not affect statutory consumer rights.
